  • I use Bruce or Pledge hardwood cleaner and the big pad type mop. The mop is cushioned and has a removeable cover that you can toss in the wash.

  • dont even need cleaning products but you can add a spray on scent to give it a fresh smell

  • Don't use a steam mop on unsealed hardwood floors.

You should find out what brand of floors have been installed and go with what they recommend as you could void any warranty on the finish if you don't use the right products.

  • Agree with twins... different hardwood floors will have different ways to best clean them. Pledge is probably a good bet but I'd still check it out.

  • Depends on the floor.

I have new Bamboo floors and use a soft, cloth, hardwood mop and bona fide hardwood floor cleaner. This was suggested by the installer.
