  • You haven't seen a Doctor yet? You should see one---ask them. Usually you don't have a real period. maybe just a little spotting for a day or two.

  • A friend of mine had her first couple of periods while she was pregnant and the dr told her it isn't unusual. See the dr just in case though.

  • i haven't seen one yet because the last time i went to find out they told me i wasn't pregnant then i took a pregnancy test and it was positive but i was confused because my period was supposed to come down June7,2011 instead it came down June13,2011 and i was only bleeding for two days so should i go back to the doctor?

  • Yes go to the doctor. It isn't uncommon to get your period the first couple months during pregnancy, you should also see a doctor to confirm your pregnancy with them so you can begin your prenatal care.

  • None of us here have a PhD, nor do we have the ability or equipment to physically examine you to determine whether or not you had a miscarriage or just a weird period. Go to your doctor. We are useless to you.

  • Just telling you the truth. You'd be better off calling your doctor or a clinic.

Answer by Imogine at 5:58 PM on Jun. 16, 2011

  • Wow Imogine...she asked a simply question. There was no need for your rude and condescending comment. Yes, it is normal for some women to bleed during pregnancy. And at 5 weeks, most doctors won't even start prenatal care yet unless the woman or pregnancy is known to be high risk. Anyway, schedule an appt to verify the pregnancy and they will probably test your HCG levels to determine if you're still pregnant. Good luck.
