Gross Cat... adult content

I'm not a cat person and this is my first one.
He is fixed.
When I rub his belly, which he loves, his ding-a-ling comes out.
Is that normal?
I think it's gross and I always make him get away from me.

  • It's a perfectly natural reaction to physical stimulation. It does not mean he's feeling "horny". any neutered male cats will often do this, & it means nothing. A cats coat is full of nerve endings; ever see their fur twitch while they're sitting doing nothing? something stimulated them. Ever wonder why they react funny to a storm? Their coats feel the change in the electrical impulses in the air. Ever watch a cats coat move while you're combing them? It's because it's stimulating to them. Be proud that your kitty offers you his belly; that is a sign of submission & complete trust in you. His physical response to your belly rubs are just Mother Nature at work, nothing more.

  • I don't know if it's normal or not, but you could always just scratch him behind the ears...

  • Well, i do. No matter where you pet him, he always rolls over and wants his chest/belly rubbed. No worries, I don't go down there... And maybe it happens when he is pet always and I just don't see it, idk.
