When do most babies cut their first tooth?

My 8 1/2 month old hasn't cut a tooth yet? He started teething when he was 3 months. Is this common?

  • my grandson is 16 months old and has 12 teeth...four top front, four top bottom and 4 back 2 top and 2 bottom...never heard of the strong thing but just make sure you teach him good brushing habits my little grandson takes his finger and puts it in his mouth like he is brushing them because he knows it is time to brush them.

  • My 4 year old had two teeth at 9 months and started teething in between 3 and 4 months.
My 6 month old doesn't have any teeth, but has been teething full force since 8 weeks.
