Do you think it was mean of me?

A man told me about his fight with his mom and that he did not invite her to his wedding. I told him I don't know what I would do if my only son would do tht to me. Because I loved him my son and that he should talk to mom so he would not talk to me and so many others. Mean or not?

  • You were being honest. It may be his business but if he was talking to you about you are allowed to say what you think...otherwise he shouldn't have been discussing it.

  • I don't think you were being Mean but, sometimes- things are beyond our control & maybe, that is why his Mom was not invited- i haven't spoken to my Mom in 5 Years & i would get really upset if someone told me i should call her if they had no idea what the deal was..  you can't really judge someone without walking in their shoes..

  • It really depends on what the fight was about.

  • Did he say if the fight was about his mom disrespecting his future wife? If she is overstepping the boundaries of their relationship then he has every right to not invite his mom to their wedding.

I also think that if you are not walking in this guy's shoes really you should keep your nose out of it.
