Have you ever wanted to give someone a dictionary after reading their post on here?

Like offering them for example

This is meant as a JOKE.. no I do NOT think I am better than anyone else.. nor do I feel I am perfect at spelling or anything else.. But sometimes.. the errors have me shaking my head in disbelief.. there is an automatic spell check on here...I don't get it.. hahah

  • Yes, and I do not unerstand hou some peeple, who are the muthers of children nou canot SPEL corektly. I'm sorry but I just don't get it. They taught spelling in school. Where were these people? How did they pass?...What were they doing during spelling? Is this really how bad our education system is? I just wonder. I just don't think there is any excuse for spelling errors on such simple words. Especially even with spellcheck and the internet so handy and they could do either. ???
    Yes, it's annoying.

  • Yes!!

  • I'd like to give myself one most of the time. LOL! I fail to use the full-editor, and rely on my own proof-read. The problem is that, as the years have progressed, I read "speed-read" style and fail to see the details. That is great for reading books and journals, but terrible for editing purposes.

Then, after my answer has posted, I do a re-read, and see the errors that I so blindly have missed. Sometimes, I copy, delete, edit, repost, but, sometimes I just leave it because it is ONLY CafeMom, not a professional journal.

So, my responses are mainly imperfect, as am I . . . things are as they should be. :)

  • When I am bothered by a misspelling I always stop and think that they person could have a learning disability such as dyslexia.
