Thinking of homeschooling

Any advice on how to get started with homeschooling my teenage children? All and any advice would be helpful.

  • Look for a homeschooling group in your area. Also, you could go to the library and read up on it. Good luck with your efforts.

  • Have you been to a homeschool conference? They're held in the summer. You can get lots of good ideas there. Maybe you'll find some resources on-line as well.

    If it's financially a possibility and your children are interested consider dual enrolling them in college courses.

  • get together with other HS moms this helps when for example you love science but hate history,trade with a mom who feels opposite of you. Also IMO HS kids are better well rounded have more opportunities and more social interaction than a classroom child

  • I would start by checking my state laws, and then seeing if there are any homeschool groups nearby....
