  • Your question is hard to follow...... are you asking if a c/section hurts. Although I have never had one, I can almost guarantee that it does afterwards. During the surgery you will be numb and will hopefully only feel pressure.

  • My c section hurt bad. I couldn't get up and walk the next day and 14 years later the scar hurts once in a while. But if I ever had another kid I would have another c section.

  • Recovery from a C-section is much harder than recovery from vaginal birth for sure.

In America, giving birth in a hospital, as a mother who has already had a vaginal birth, your chances of having a C-section are about 25%. If this was your first it would be about 40%.

If you really want to avoid C-section find a provider who doesn't do them. Family practice doctors, Naturopaths, midwives. Especially home birth midwives have low rates of C-sections. My midwife has about 1% of her clients require C-section.

  • Cesareans re generally more painful and harder to recover from.
We don't feel much/anything during them as we are drugged.
    ;-)
    Avoiding them is safest.

Your risk factor generally depends on who you hire (more than your health circumstances).

  • caramelH, woah, calm down.

    We did answer her...
Do you mean that we need to add more about the risks with a cesarean?
    That wasn't really covered.
    Yes, the risks are great.
I can share a lot of info about that, and more.
