  • Iz--because she started calling herself that instead of Elizabeth
Bird-everyone calls her lady bird so we shortened it to Bird. Sometimes I call her Bird Turd
Bubbs--I think my husband called him Bubba and it eventually evolved into Bubbs.

  • Ariel--My oldest daughter was called "Doodles" when she was tiny....her babysitter called her that because of so many diaper changes and it just stuck during her toddler years. It became "Birdie" at about 8 because she sang all the time and still stands today after all her choir & singing competitions. She still sings ALL the time...even just around the house.
Avery--My youngest was called "Doo-Dah" as a baby/toddler because she picked that up from her sister singing all the time and we began calling her that. Grandma still calls her " Little Doo-Dah" today.
I enjoy hearing everyone's stories on this's funny how families come up with nicknames...always a story there. :-)
