Save the Gold Fish

San Francisco Considers Ban on Goldfish as Pets to Prevent Their 'Inhumane Suffering'
By Todd Starnes

Read more:

NOW I really have seen everything... Long story short they want to ban buying gold fish and adopting dogs, cats etc. They feel dogs, cat, etc are bought on impulse and end up in shelters and that taking the gold fish are depleting our reefs. We humans are too wasteful to have pets. Your thoughts????

  • This comes from San Francisco....'nuff said. They are the same people who keep reelecting Pelosi, they wanted or did do away with toys in happy meals. It's a city of nuts!

  • What is wrong with adopting dogs from shelters??? We always adopt our dogs. Almost everyone I know has adopted their pets. It is not is a deliberate, planned effort to save dogs. We have some adorable cocker spaniels ...we saved them from being gassed.....are they crazy?

  • San Francisco is an perfect example of what happens when progressives run things. You want to live in a country filled with rules that dictate every aspect of your life then keep electing progressives. You want real freedom stand up and hold your politician accountable and let him know he works for you and not the other way around. I hated living in San Francisco it was very oppressive living there.

  • Okay a goldfish brain can't even concieve that it's in a little bowl, because by the time it get's to one side, it's forgotten about the other side it was just at, and they get fed and cared for without threat of predators, all the while thinking it's in a vast lake.

...I fail to see what's so inhumane about that.

  • Donna, that was my thought as well lol. Obviously they're brains are less fortunate than these pretty little creatures.

  • These folks are obviously oblivious to the REAL problems in front of them, so they have to come up with insanity such as this; or maybe they just don't know what the heck to do about any of the REAL problems, so stuff like this makes them feel worthy of taking their big ole paychecks... The people who re-elected Nancy are getting what they asked for, I guess...
