Help.. Please

Ok, so long story short. My Husband and I are struggling financially (surprise so is everyone).. I work two jobs and he works a full time job with his own business on the side. We have a 2 year old son, and still cant afford to live. I have a credit score in the 600's and need a personal loan quick thats legit. None of this payday loan crap. Does anyone know a good place out there? Or any other way him and I can get some extra cash? The loan is to pay off soem bills so I have everything in one place and I am just paying out one lump sum. Thank you.

  • Some credit unions will do consolidation loans. Good luck.

  • How much do you need? How quickly do you need it? Where do you live? Are there bills you can cut out? I would look at the credit unions like the pp said.

  • I don't know if you own your own home. We do and our bank offered us a home equity line of credit that's below prime. There aren't any fees to apply. If you don't have collateral, you'll find that banks and credit unions have personal loans but the interest rates are fairly high. You might be able to get a 'deal' with your credit card too. Mine keep sending me checks to use for bill consolidation. Just watch as often there are fees and the interest rates can be high.

  • Well rather than a loan that might in the long run makes things more difficult to pay off have you tried looking into debt eliminating books such as Smart Couples Finish Rich by David Bach or the many by Dave Ramsey? My husband and I used the David Bach book plan to pay off our debt in less than a year! Both authors pretty much promote and use similar plans!

  • I agree with Mom2Jack04- Dave Ramsey is really a genius when it comes to eliminating debt and socking money away for retirement. I would also see what I could cut out or cut down, like maybe downgrading the cable, if you have it, downgrading cellphone or internet plans, or landline plans. We got rid of cable entirely and went with Netflix- we can watch tons of stuff on there- and that cut our bill from 70 something dollars to 9.95 a month.

  • Unfortunately borrowing money doesn't usually solve money problems. If you are going to borrow money, I would advise a Credit Union, they are generally non-profit & don't have unnecessary charges & fees.
    Good luck to you!

  • A Financial Needs Analysis would be great for you. to see where you are, and help you make sound decisions. Email me and I can tell you where you could get a loan.
