  • I agree so many rude people now adays and no one wants to help anyone unless there is something in it for them, or they only do it to be nice to get something they want, and never have a nice word to say to anyone, I am teaching my dd's to show love no matter what, to be nice, respectful and helpful, and to be honest with you it has been the easiest of the things I am teaching my children, they have the biggest hearts and are so respectful that it melts my heart!!

  • It wasn't left behind.

If you want love & respect, then love & respect everyone around you & you will attract people who are the same way.

  • 'Be the change you wish to see in the world.' In other words, if you are kind and respectful, it will spark that in others. Maybe not everyone you meet, but many, and in turn, they will show that to others, etc. It's catching, just like bad attitudes are.

  • I'm trying to teach this to my kids. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who feels this is an important skill to have in life.

  • I get that concept of be the change you wish to see in the world and think its an amazing concept but there are always going to be the people around you that will never be that way..... there isnt a day that goes by that I dont see some kind of jerk or out of control disrespectful person in public and those are the people I want to see change the most.... they are the ones who probably were never taught that lesson at a young age
