Very few in DC listened when MANY argued the historical relevance of entitlement programs.... Historically, Politicians overpromise and underfund to sell their entitlements. Too many buy into it and have become dependent on the government to save them (individuals and businesses) and here we are.... This has been going on for decades.... Our current President adding to the entitlement monster with MORE promises and misleading costs, isn't helping...... We haven't seen solutions... Just more programs to ADD to the 'system'.... So.... Here we are.... You can't solve it with taxing a certain income class more... CUTS need to be made... EVERYONE needs to feel the pinch...
