Low Income housing

For anyone of you are qualified and receiving low income housing, can you tell me what percentage of your monthly income goes to rent/utilities and if you were required to pay the security deposit on your place when you moved in. We are currently on the waiting list, however, we cannot afford the security deposit until tax returns.

  • there is always a deposit. And it is 30% of your income BEFORE taxes and health insurence. Some places do make you pay for heat, it depends though.
