I have started looking for a Twin mattress for my son for when we move...and I want to get an organic cotton/wool or some combo that I can afford. Some of them are OUTLANDISHLY priced, even though I know he'll be using it for around 13 years...it's still hard to come up with more than $600 for the whole thing.
I was thinking either:
a) Organic Cotton Matt (probably has flame retard chem) w/Wool pad
b) Blend mattress with more affordable pad (organic cotton/wool?)
c) cheapo mattress with GOOD wool pad on top
I want to avoid off gassing and any flame retardant chemicals...but these are harder to find and actually cost MORE to put less on them :(
These will probably all run the same total price...I'm just wondering what others have done. THANKS!

I know what you mean! I have been looking at organic mattresses with wool filling and the prices are outlandish! I found a good organic mattress, reasonably priced at aBaby.com. It contains 100 percent organically processed wool fill with a 100 percent organic cotton cover and 660 coils that provides a firm, comfortable support!
