  • I usually start visiting the doctor about 6 - 8 weeks. My last pregnancy, I didn't see a Dr. until my 4 month. We were moving. I thought it was pointless to see a doctor until we moved out of state. Any longer than 4 months and some Drs. have a problem and might decline you as a patient. I had one Dr. tell me that if I had waited any longer, I would no longer be her patient.

  • I would start interviewing care providers as soon as they can see you.

They will let you interview with them for free, call and ask---

    Is this your first baby?
    Do you have preferences?

  • Depends if it's your first baby call them they will probably get you in soon within a few days or a week or two, some women wait until after their first trimester to go I guess in case of miscarriages. Next one I'll probably wait it out a little unless theres a problem, because they always made my appointments a few weeks out some reason.
