  • usually no
    yes in some situations

    i too had placenta previa
doctor told me nothing "up there", no sex, and every exam i had was externel scan, plus a c section one month early

so regular healthy preganancy-sex will not cause

  • If you have a lot of bleeding after sex, call your doctor. DH & I had sex when I was 10 weeks & right afterwards I was having real bad cramping & lots and lots of bright red, heavy bleeding. I thought I was having a miscarriage. Went to the doctor, they did an ultrasound & found I had placenta previa, so I was not allowed to have sex until I was 36 weeks, 'cause it could cause a miscarriage.

  • I know a lot of people will say no, and most the time this is correct, but if you have any bleeding the first thing they ask is if you've recently had sex, and they can even tell you not to have sex the rest of your pregnancy. If you have no bleeding or cramping during or after sex, then you're probably fine.

  • Not if it's a normal, healthy pregnancy. Cramping is normal
