  • Birth Center hands down! I've had two Hospital births and my youngest was born at a free standing birth center, best experience by far. Of course, my top choice is home birth, planning a home birth for my EDD Feb. 9 baby.

  • Birth Center! Never been to one but I HATE hospitals. I never had an opinion for a birth center since my insurance wouldnt cover it

  • Im not sure whats involved in birth centers..I would imagine if you were NEAR a hospital, it would be fine. My delivery turned into emergency C-section, so I am glad I was in a hospital...guess it depends on your experiences.

  • I did not have an option of a birthing center where live (without driving 4 hours!) but if I did that is where I would have been. Less stress. Less intervention. More control over the setting.

  • Mine also turned into an ER c-section but at a birthing center(I assume all) mid-wifes work in conjunction with OB's when nessesary and are trained to know when a hospital setting is necessary and take a precautions.

  • I have a tour of http://www.womenshealthandbirthcenter.com/ on Monday! I am really looking forward to it! :) we will see how it goes! I feel very blessed that my insurance will cover a birthing center if I so choose. I do not like hospitals either- not even when I am sick. lol.
