Are you a bread & butter fan?

Growing up, we always had a slice of cold buttered bread (not toast) with almost every meal, and it is something that I have always thought as normal. Now, when I eat buttered bread with my meal, my hubby thinks I'm the weirdest person in the world and only thinks buttered toast is normal...

SO. Do you like to eat buttered bread with your meal? Or is it only my family that does it?

  • Quite a bit, and I eat grape jelly on garlic bread/toast because my dad always did. I also like cheese on my butter bread-untoasted.

  • I think it is a cultural and also a geographical type thing. People think we're weird because we make biscuits with meals instead of rolls or sliced bread. If you enjoy it who cares.

  • We didn't eat it regularly as a kid, but just tonight with the chili I made, I was thinking it would be GOOD. I need bread though, so that was out for tonight.

  • My mom put the bread and butter out when she knew there wasn't really enough food to go around. It always helped.
