  • My DD's fell off exactly at 2 weeks. I was also told NOT to bathe them while it's still intact.

  • Like one of the other posters said, it's different for each child, but typically between a few days to a few weeks. My youngest took about a week, but one of my other kids took almost 6 weeks to completely come off. Back then, though, moms were told differently on how to care for the stump. We weren't allowed to get it wet at all except for the alcohol swab during diaper changes. Now days, baby can take a tub bath from the beginning and it actually helps it to dry up and fall off quicker. :)
