Father's Day

1st--- Happy Father's Day! lol
2nd---- My S/O is not my son's father and we've only been together since October. My son sometimes gets confused and calls him dada. (My son's father is not in the picture, but he has a friend that says dada.) Anyway, a girl I work with said it would have been cute if I got him a card or something today. I don't think that celebrating Father's day is something we should do, but I was thinking maybe me and my son could make a "Just because we love you" card. What does everyone think? I would like honest opinions on both Father's dzy and my card idea please.

  • I think that as long as your guy is the only father your son has ever known and he has always been there for him, loved him and took care of him,I would give him a very special card for fathers day!

  • If he treats him as good as a father would then get him what ever you think in your heart is necessary.

  • Tink, not all dads are sperm donors. And sometimes the best dad are the one who step up and love you and your child. You do what makes you comfortable. My dh adopted my dd and he has loved her and protected her better than her sperm donor did. Make him a card and tell him you thank him for loving you and loving your son.

  • haha SweetPea... I like that (sperm donor). We did make him a card and he loved it. My son scribbled some pictures and I wrote a little message in it. :)
