whats a mucus plug and what does it have to do w, labor

  • it comes out right before u deliver..its called a "bloody show", its a bloody mucusy thing..

  • This is a good question and i asked it a billion times at my doctors office.. your cervix is the opening (hole) of your uterus.. and in order to keep the fluid in your uterus theres a plug that is made out of mucus and it sits in your cervix.. this starts to come out at around 35-40 weeks of your pregnancy.. it usually comes out in a big clump.. once this comes out your body is going into labor soon. probably within 2 weeks. I always thought mine was coming out because i had ALOT of discharge but it wasnt.
