Is there any Certain medicines that can cause a false negative pregnancy test.?

i would just like to know i mean i don't feel right and the test was neg and i just wanna know if some medicines can cause it to be negative cause i'm on quite a few...??

  • Yes. Any medication containing HCG will cause a positive pregnancy result when you are not pregnant. HCG can be found in some presciption weight loss medications. You can get a false result when you are pregnant as well. If you take a pregnancy test and are only a week late it may not pick up the hcg in the urine. Also if you take a urine test at night it may not pick it up because you have been urinating all day and the highest concentration of hcg is in the morning in the first urine of the day.

  • Oh and no there are no meds currently that would cause a false pregnancy test.
