Daughter isn't eating after 6 month shots...?

Annie had her 6 month shots Friday. She isn't eating very much... Only a couple oz at a time and doesn't want her solids. Anyone else go through this?

  • Yeah, the shots can make kids a bit "off" for a few days. Watch her and if she's still off her food 3 full days after the shots, I'd take her to the doctor. Probably take her anyway, if you're worried, but it is a pretty normal reaction; as long as she's not feverish and is eating a little bit, I'd probably wait and see how she goes. We always do worry though, don't we!

  • Yes. My first daughter was fussy and didn't want to eat much for a day or two after her first few sets of shots.

  • Poor baby! Shots can make them very cranky and uncomfortable, it's normal, just watch her the next few days, and if there is no improvement then give her ped a hoot!
