Can someone get a job in the medical field if they have a mental illness, should they or will they be found out somehow?

  • I think it depends on the job and the mental illness. For instance, a history of depression won't keep you from being a medical transcriptionist, but a history of uncontrolled paranoid schizophrenia should make it so that you don't work as an LPN.

  • I think that the only way to know if an individual with or without a mental illness is fitted for the job is by evaluating his/her job performance.

  • I think it would depend on the illness, and the position
