Help! Green pool

We just bought one of those 4 ft pools from walmart a month ago. One day we got up and it was green. So we shocked it and made sure all the levels were good. Everything showed good. So my sis in law said to use baking soda with the chlorine. We added baking soda and it cleared up, but then we saw that the chlorine levels were low so we added more and it turned green again. I wiped the floor and the walls down the pump has been running. we added algae killer and shocked it again. Nothing helps. What should we do. ??The levels still say they are good. IDK!!!

  • Bring a bottle of the water to a pool store & have them test it & tell you what you need to maintain the pool. This should be done once a month.

  • Our last pool was chlorine free so I'm not sure other than to say the same, take a sample to the pool store. We used something called Bacquacil or something like that, no chlorine. Good Luck, they can be fun, but a lot of work.

  • Over chlorinate. Run the filter at least 2 hours everyday. Put a chlorine floaty in the pool & keep it full of chlorine. Vacuum the pool.
