  • LOL Tell me about it. I've got one that baffles me from when my 4 year old was 2!

We were walking home from the school bus (we walked the block or so outside the 1-mile radius to catch the bus). My son, then in Kindergarten, had asked if he could go to a friend's house. I said no because he had done something that got him in trouble at school. She looked at me (remember she was 2) and asked if SHE could go. I said no. She said: But I'm not in trouble. I had to struggle to come up with a reason why not. I think I said because the kid wasn't her friend.

My kids are going to outsmart me here in a couple of years. My son will be starting HiCap (challenge/gifted program) in the fall. My daughter is as smart or smarter than her brother at the same age.
