  • We moved from Wisconsin to Illinois, then from Illinois to Nevada. One state over was easy. Across the country wasn't as easy, but it was ok. We put our house on the market and it sold in only 3 days, way sooner than we had expected. That made us scramble to move fast. My husband flew out to Nevada and interviewed for a couple of jobs, got a job in two days, and flew back. We packed up and moved two weeks later. We put our lawyer in charge of our house closing, so he just wired us the money when it was done. The hardest part of the whole thing was packing everything for the movers and then waiting 10 days for our stuff to arrive. Other than that, it was like a regular move, only a little more rushed and stressful.

  • moving states is mostly harder because you have to get everything in one shot- there is nbo going back and forth
then there is the changing of licenses, insurance and all that good stuff that's always a giant pain and learning your way around a new place can be a bit frustrating at times-but you'll figure it out

Other than that- research the city you are going to so you have an idea what it's like before you get there

  • All moves are stressful no manner if it's arranged by a company or do-it-yourself  near or far. It's all on the planning and being organized. Working together as a team helps a lot but it's an adventure.

  • I've moved from GA to PA (rented a truck and did it ourselves) but when we moved from PA to CO and CO to PA we used ABF upack. It was actually the same price as renting a truck from a company before the gas costs involved. ABF picks up the truck or pods and then will drive it out with another delivery so you don't get your stuff right away but it's so nice! We packed our cars with must haves (air mattress, clothes, towels and my jewelry) then drove our cars - good luck on the move! What part of GA? You'll have to check out the laser show at Stone Mountain (take a picnic)
