  • Well, BBQ would be BBQ, buns, hushpuppies, slaw and Brunswick stew

But for a COOKOUT (because I'm from North Carolina, and BBQ always means pulled smoked pork with sauce here!) my go-to menu is my secret recipe Zippy Burgers and Awesome Burgers (part of the secret of Zippies is that I fold a slice of provolone cheese into the patty when forming it), deviled eggs, baked beans, maybe corn on the cob and/or sliced tomatoes if they are fresh, and an icebox cake or pound cake (or a freezer of homemade ice cream) and a melon (water- or cantaloupe) still warm from the vine but cool and juicy by nature!
