How do your kid(s) see there cousins?

for me it's every other weekend or so... for me that's good it could get a little over whelming if its more.. a little to much of butting heads... even though he loves them to death.

  • Never. My sister and 2 of her kids visited about 5 years ago. I'm sure my kids wouldn't remember who they are. They've never met their other 8 cousins.

  • My sons see their little cousin almost every weekend. We see their older cousins at least once a month. All of our family lives pretty close by.

  • My kids rarely see their cousins because they live far away. For the longest time they were 8 hours driving time away. We couldn't afford the gas to go see them so we went every couple of years and met them half way for lunch for a few hours (usually just my mil, sil and one nephew).
Now we live 2000+ miles from them so we won't be seeing them for years.

  • Tess sees two of her 1st cousins every couple months. The other 2 1st cousins live in NH, so we've seen them once in the past 2 years. Misc cousins are seen around Thanksgiving/Christmas.

  • My kids' ONE cousin lives in Oklahoma, we live in South Dakota, so pretty much the only time when my kids get to see her is either when my mom brings her up when she comes to visit, or my mom gets her for the week or two when we go down to visit. Her mom is pretty great about letting my mom have her whenever. (Long story short...She's my oldest bro's daughter. Bro and her mom divorced. He never sees her, but her mom is totally awesome about letting my mom see her...she's 11 1/2, btw.)

  • Daily. Most of my family live in the same area, though I have cousins/aunts/uncles/grandparents who live in several other countries and other relatives who live in other states but my sister's kids and my brother's daughter as well as two of my cousins kids are all at my house on a daily basis since one cousin lives next door to me, my aunt lives down the street and is temporarily taking care of her two grand kids so the kids all kind of gather in my yard. I have another cousin who lives in Chicago (900 miles away) who has 4 year old twin boys and another cousin who lives a couple towns over has a 5 month old baby boy but they're my cousins on my dad's side and wasn't real close with them growing up anyway. My kids met their twin cousins once last year, they haven't yet met their baby cousin but my cousin wants to meet up someday soon and catch up (she hasn't seen my kids in 3 years - they're 6 and 5 now)

  • My kids only have one cousin and they only get to see him one time per year at either Thanksgiving or Christmas. We live many states away and he is my only nephew. I wish we could see him more.
