  • Green Lantern, Superman, Spiderman, Transformers......just because he can't watch the movies doesn't mean he won't like the charaters. Just hit the party section of Target or Wal-Mart for idea.

  • Dinosaurs, Animals, Bugs, does he like any movies? You could do CARS, How to Train Your Dragon, Toy Story. For my son's 4th birthday party he choose CARS and this year he wants Dinosaurs :)

  • My son had a Lego theme party when he turned 5. We did it at home (low budget less stress), but you could use a park or any kind of large-ish empty room. We had a "Lego walk" (like a cake walk) and went around in a circle until music stops, then they got to go play Legos until the rest of the group was done. I went to the Lego store (or you can buy online) "bases", like a chassis, to build Lego cars, and a giant tub of gently used Legos on EBay, then they built cars and raced them down a refrigerator-box ramp. We had a cake with little cutouts to look like Legos and gave Lego stuff as party favors. I made certificates for each kid's car (fastest, tallest, most colorful, loudest, etc) so everyone got one. We had a BLAST!! He might be too young if his guests are more 3-4ish but this was a great Boy Party Theme.

  • why dont u ask him what he wants? ever since my daughter turned 2, she has been picking the theme of her birthday party. her 2 yr old was elmo and 3rd was dora...her 4th is coming up, so soon i will ask her what kind of cake she wants. I always take her to the bakery and we look through the cake book together-makes it fun for both of us!
