  • Pump output does not equal supply. Many women just don't respond well to the pump. Baby almost ALWAYS gets more then the pump does. A lot more then the pump. As long as your baby is wetting/soiling 6-8 diapers a day, your supply is fine. What you pump doesn't matter. How your breasts feel doesn't matter. Baby being fussy doesn't matter. Not leaking doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is diaper count. THE ONLY THING. So relax. You're probably making plenty :)

  • Fenugreek works wonders for people.... I would try that.
    And then drink drink drink!
Feed and pump as often as you can!

  • Try to nurse as often as you can to get the supply back up. (if it's actually down, as pp said). I never could get too much out from a pump.

  • I've never been able to pump more than an ounce and I've never had a shortage of milk(my son was a 23 pound 8 month old who wasn't really on solids). A baby can get milk out better than any pump. The pump doesn't indicate supply.

  • watch the baby, not the pump.
