  • LilJeni, if you ever research how hormonal BC works (from their own sites even), they will tell you that it works that way by creating a "hostile environment" for the fertilized egg to avoid implantation.

  • No I haven't I have an IUD and the pill was never an option for me, I would forget to take it and then I would get pregnant again.

  • the first thing it does is it prevents ovulation. However, if ovulation occurs and an egg happens to become fertilized, it creates a hostile environment in the uterus so that it cannot implant. I will continue to take my pills, I don't want to be pregnant and I could care less if someone thinks birth control pills are abortion.
