Does it bug you when...

Someone spells something wrong? A word that spelled wrong means something completely different?
Someone on FB is talking about heroin and everyone keeps spelling it heroine!
I see alot of threw/through ,break/brake ,there/their/they're

  • I spoke to my SD teacher years ago about the spelling. She told me they are given certain words, but most words are not corrected because it hurts a child's self esteem. My ex and I argued because he thought the computer would tell you if it is wrong. I argued that it could still be a word, such as your examples, but the wrong word.

  • Depends. One or two errors I can forgive, but reading a whole paragraph of them makes me think, either turn on the spell check or go back to school. Of course I notice I am less tolerant of them the closer I get to my cycle.
