G>E>R>D does any one have this or know about it?

My husband was rushed from a doctor appointment where some how symptoms minicked a heart attack . But after many tests and CT of the chest he was diagnosised with GERD and inflammation of the chest I looked it up but I would like to hear from real people. How do you deal with something that is so painful and also changing eating habits.
P.S he is mexican so all the tomatoes and spicy foods will have to be cut down on .

  • I have GERD, it's a matter of changing eating habbits and medication. It's easy enough to manage

  • I had to cut down on caffeine, chocolate, fried foods, and cinnamon but I can still eat tomatoes and spicy foods. Different people have different food triggers.
