  • Yes, it is. But expect this to wind up in the courts.

I am pleased that Controller Chiang ( A DEMOCRAT, by the way) chose this route. Last week the Democratic majority passed a budget that Governor Brown rightly vetoed. The legislature needs to learn to work to deadline.

I do think it's unrealistic to demand an all-cuts budget, and that a balance between taxes and cuts needs to be achieved. Neither side should get everything it wants.

  • I think its a great idea, it will pressure them to do the right thing and get it done right away rather than just letting things float.

  • Its a great thing. If any of us, didnt do our job,or meet a deadline, we wouldnt expect to be paid. And if the budget isnt passed on time, everyone who recieved their checks fromm the state, doesnt get paid. So why should the people suffer, but not the representitives who cant do their job and pass a friggin budget? And the budget they did try to pass was BS. Didnt balance anything. They just wanted their money. Proof that they dont care about anyone but themselves.
