I got my first "Wow, you're huge" comment today... adult content

I'm 25w4d pregnant with #2, and some lady that I work with came into my office and said, "Oh, hi! I thought you would be on maternity leave already." I said, "No, I plan on working until the end of September" (Right near my due date) and she said, "What? Wow! You're huge!" I just smiled and said, "Well I'm about six months, so I still have a while to go." She picked up what she came for and while she was walking away turned around and said, "Are you sure there aren't twins in there? You're just really big."

So, I'm sure you've been asked this before, but how do you respond to these oh-so-kind comments? Are you nice and polite, or do you tell them to go f themselves? What are some really good remarks I can use next time she is a complete B**CH... well, you get the idea!

  • I would have said, "twins?... HA! I am having a litter". That would shut her right up.

  • Everyone swore I was carrying twins with my last pregnancy. I was not. I did balloon up with my last pregnancy.

  • WOW. The memories that brings back. I was asked this in a grocery store by a complete stranger when I was pregnant with my 3rd and I olny gained 18 lbs the entire pregnancy. Don't be too offended. Consider the source.

  • I don't respond at all. That's what pregnancy does. Makes me huge. Then I have a baby and become un-huge. Nonissue.

  • I think women forget that almost all of us get HUGE during our pregnancies. I am not looking forward to these comments or the unwelcome touched. I waitress and no one else there has had a baby so everytime I'm preg (this is #3) I turn into a side show.

  • I had this happen to me many times with both my pregnancies.. I say "not sure I guess I will find out when I give birth" Theres nothing you can really say some people just let the stupid fall right out of their mouths before even thinking

  • Really I think I'moffended because I'm NOT huge! LOL yes, of course my tummy is swelling (hello, there is a baby in there!) but I've actually lost weight this entire pregnancy! I am about 10 lbs less now than when I got pregnant!
