Buffered Aspirin

My golden retriever is 11 years old and has a hard time getting around like he use to. I had read that you can give dogs buffered aspirin and was wondering if anyone else has tried this. How much can I give him (hes 125 lbs) and how often?

  • If no one on here knows, you could always call the local vet's office and ask them :) Good luck getting your answer!

  • I would NOT do it unless you ask your vet first.

  • My vet had me give my dog baby aspirin to help relieve some of her pain, it didn't help much. I gave her two but I can't remember how often. She was 85 pounds. Your best bet is to call the vet. You should also ask about dietary supplements that can help, glucosamine is a good one for joint issues.
