  • Going to the zoo or other public place where kids with parents frequent. Watching (often with horror) at how some women behave with their children gives me needed perspective.

  • 1. Seeing my kids tear up when they realize they hurt someone. 2. Watching my kids pick up after themselves with or without my asking 3. Watching them apologize 4. Watching them have fun while learning 5. Observing them being inquisitive 6. Having them want to spend time with me 7. Having them come up to me only to give me hugs/kisses 8. Seeing them share with others 9. Witnessing them stand up for themselves 10. Seeing them in good health, in clean clothes, an adequate roof over their head, and with piggy banks half-full :)

  • Alot of things make me feel like a good mother but to begin with, my dd's have wonderful inner qualities. I believe if you have have a good start on other things.
I did my best to give them a hand up, without giving them too many hand-outs and I reasoned to them about not doing certain things until they saw it for themselves and made it their choice for their reasons. I never had any major issue with my girls (like drugs, alcohol, sex etc) I feel like I gave them a good foundation for choosing the right thing for the right reasons. They're good at thinking things through for their age. I'm so pleased with that. So far, they are very good girls. I'm a very proud Mama!! My youngest just graduated high school an entire year early...that's how hard she tried. :-)))))
I surely do not know it all ....I still learn things allllll the time. Wow.
