What can you earn a degree in by going to online classes?

And what are some accredited online schools?

  • Check out your local community colleges or state universities. Many offer degrees online. Stay away from for profit schools, even those that are accreditied. U of Phoenix is one to stay away from.

  • These are the ones that I have personal experience with or have done extensive research on. It is best to go with a state college that offers online classes but when that is not possible, these colleges are very good. They are not for profit and the first two have very affordable tuition.

  • There are a lot of accredited online schools, or regular schools that have an online campus. My school is Baker College, which has 6 or 7 regular campuses throughout Michigan, but an online campus based out of Flint. Online, entire degree programs are offered in accounting, business, human resources, psychology, and some programming. A complete list can be found here:

    One thing I really liked about my school is that the degree comes from Baker College and does not specify which campus you are from so employers do not know whether it was completed online or on ground (although the stigma of an online degree is fading).
