Which starch goes best?

Serving crab cakes, squash, & fried green tomatoes.......should I do a potatoe or rice side with?

  • Personally, with the carbs in the crab cakes and the squash, I'd focus on something brilliantly green to balance out that meal: either a tossed salad or some steamed broccoli, and not worry about an additional starch.

    If you're sold on adding a starch, try a wild rice pilaf or something with some texture to it.
