S/O question. Can you have a soulmate type friend online? Keep in mind he is married and so is she.

This was NOT my post, but I was wondering what you all thought since it was closed.

i think she was not asking a question at all
she was looking for attention? or needing to express her excuses out loud?
it sure was not to ask if anyone thought the comment from the married older guy meant something other than "can i say anything that you will swallow, and then i might be able to get into your pants"

    can you have a friend-yes
is this person a SOULMATE - not if you are married to someone else, not if you pretend that your relaionthip is innocent, not if the man is telling you he wishes he was younger, or back in time, or you two are "soulmates"

grow up and/or get some common sense

thanks for posting, i was not done with her=LMAO!

  • Ridiculous and delusional.

  • haha, i'm glad it's you and not her again. when i read that i thought that was such a silly thing to say. i mean i know where she's coming from but it doesn't make it right or better. she's needing emotional fulfillment and he's hoping for something sexual, even if it is online. online is even worse in my opinion. because inhibitions are lessened and sneakiness tends to get heightened.

it's not that i don't believe you can't connect with someone online, but you have to be fully aware of intentions, and stop being in denial of wanting the attention of someone. it's sad to need that attention so badly you need to rationalize but hey, it happens everyday so oh well! but don't expect people to sympathize with you!!! :)

But to answer your question, I believe that is just asking for trouble.

  • She was talking to a 40 yr old man who is married. She is in a relationship. He had made it clear he wanted to be with her. She claims they are soulmates online with NO flirtation or sex. I think it is NOT possible.

  • She was playing fire with a married man which is WRONG.
