How do I keep my 12 yr old dd busy this summer? Family is not local, she does not have friends out of school.

And to make things worst, money is an issue. How do you do it?

  • Library, sports, dance. She needs to make friends outside of school. How lonely for her.

  • Make trips to the libaray, or the park! Does your friends have any kids her age? Goggle summer activities and find different activitys and good luck to you both.

  • Some problem here plus she has a broken arm and hubby and I are at work all day 4 days a week. Luckily, my mom offered to fly her out to her house for 3 week and she paid for the ticket too:)))) Love my momma!

  • I have been taking both my kids to the boys and girls club this summer. They offer drop in play time from 1pm to 5pm. I can't pass it up for my two. MY dd is 11 and my ds 7. It is a real good deal I payed 50 dollars for the whole year!

  • Going to the park is always free.
Or you can take her to get ice cream.
Maybe there is a free community pool in your area. Or low cost.
Walks are free, too, and you can use the time to talk about things.
Redbox has movies for a dollar per night. You need a credit card or bank card tho.
And if she has good friends from school, they can always have a sleepover.
Try to come up with a new hobby she can get into, maybe scrapbooking, photography, crochet, something.
