I'm not a grammar nazi but....

but it kills me when people use "is" instead of are.

You could get away with just about anything when talking to me, until you do that. I don't know why it bothers me so much. I wish I knew. I find myself correcting people in my head when they do that.

"Is you going?" Argh!!
"You ain't tired, is you?" Ahhh!!
"Is you working tomorrow?" Oh dear God!!


LoL. So ladies what, if any, small thing bothers you?

  • I think conjugation of "to be" is something you should be reasonably able to expect someone to manage with their first language.

  • It just bugs me. What really drives me crazy is using words wrong such as "think & thank" , "feel & fill" and so forth.
