Introducing turkey/ham

i want to give my daughter turkey and ham but i havent yet cuz i know deli lunch meat is to high in sodium, so my question is....what kind of turkey and ham do i buy???

  • Get the fresh/frozen turkey breasts and hams from the meat counter and prepare them yourself. Neither are particularly hard to prepare and you will be able to control the spice and salt content to tailor it to your tastes. Both will have cooking instructions on the package but the easiest way is to use a roasting bag and add a small amount of water to retain moisture.

  • Yes get it from meat counter....or try to limit it if u buy reguar packaged deli meat.

  • I would make a whole turkey or ham for supper, and then cut up what was left for lunches.
