  • Are you asking which is better to have around a baby? If so, in our experience having a dog was much better than a kitten. We had a kitten for a week but the whole week it thought that our daughter was a scratching post...she was so scratched up and our dog actually attacked the cat because our dog was trying to protect our baby.

  • I would say a dog, for sure. Cats really don't care about anything but themselves. Our dogs are like second parents to our son! They are so good with him and the cats well...they aren't as good, lol. We had to get rid of 1 cat we had because he would attack our son's face! Luckily the new one we have is great, I tell everyone that he is more like a dog then a cat! He cuddles like a dog, plays like a dog, our son lugs him around upside down and he doesn't scratch or bite. But in all honestly, it is the actual animal, not all dogs are good with kids and not all cats are bad!
