Does the housing authority help out mothers on welfare?

Its an income every month. and they keep it till they can get a job. I was told housing authority only helps when the mom has a job. no so sure how it works with a mom on welfare.. just curious.

  • oh i know it doesnt matter the gender of a person. a mother i know has 2 kids. she is on welfare bc the dad doesnt help with the kids and shes worried they wont help bc shes on welfare and cant find a job. she has looked everywhere had interviews and everything.

  • Shouldn't matter if they are a woman or man or have kids in my opinon. If they can work they should be and only given help if they are. If they are disabled and can't work then they get help no matter what. Should be a real disabilty that actually prevents them from working and not something they caused themselves to have like obesity.

  • Here that is mostly all they help with. Call them and find out. Usually word of mouth is wrong or at least doesn't have the whole story.
