How safe is your pool?

Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of accidental death in children in the United States. The question you need to ask yourself is: Is my pool safe?

Do you have proper fencing and gate hardware?
Do you have approved drain covers? (Millions of pool drain covers were just recalled a few weeks back)
Do you have a SVRS to prevent drain entrapment?

Most people don't realize how dangerous and powerful pool drains are and what a hazard they can be. I urge you to please take the necessary steps to ensure your pool is a safe one!

  • It's folded up in the basement still - pretty darn safe so far...

But no, we don't fence it in, we aren't allowed even if we wanted to. And there is no drain, you have to pump it out...

I get so tired of these "this can harm you" posts... Guess what people, EVERYTHING and ANYTHING can hurt you. Use some common sense - teach your kids some common sense - and most times you'll be just fine...
