Would you accept deadbeat dad?

A couple days ago I got a friend request from my "father". This is a man who didn't come to the hospital when I was born. Showed up once a year usually Christmas to bring me a toy or my birthday. When I was 17 my cousin who is just a couple years younger than my mom told me it wasn't all my dads fault, my mom kept him away. So I decided to give him a chance to be in my life. That didn't work. He just wanted my mom back and didn't give a shit about me. He showed up again when I was pregnant with DD. Said he wasn't ready to be a grandpa. Ha. He has met my DD once because he showed up at my grandmas while DD was there. I was pregnant with DS at the time. This was two years later. Now he wants to friend request me?

  • I would ignore for right now, and msg his inbox and tell him your feelings. see what he has to say. While I am not a fan of deadbeats, your old enough to explain your true feelings. He should be mature enough to understand. If he underatnds maybe give him a chance. But wiht the understanding that if anything was d or what not he was gone.
