  • 18 months with my DS. I would have gone longer, but I had gotten pregnant and had a miscarriage and got pumped full of drugs, so I had to cold turkey wean him. Boy, did that hurt!

  • I nursed my children until their first birthday, with the exception of my third child. I stopped nursing him a month after his first birthday. Most children wean themselves because they begin eating and drinking other things.

  • 10 ish months for my daughter, 11 ish months for my son -- once my kids start eating a lot of table food I have a hard time keeping my milk supply. I ended up giving both kids formula a few times a day until about age two. I did that to make sure the nutrients they were getting were balanced enough.
